Allows the sensor head to be located up to 14 metres (46 feet) away from the instrument base using a standard CAT5 cable. Used where there is a need to measure gas in an environment in which the user does not wish to be present. Gives extra protection to the sensor head from contamination by dust and water which could reduce the life of the sensor.
